CogniMusica is based in the heart of Dundee, with our studio at Kandahar House, 71 Meadowside (DD1 1EN) - a few minutes' walk from the High Street, the railway station, and the V&A. We provide personalised music lessons for children aged four and above, in violin, viola, piano, guitar, electric guitar, and singing. As a Dundee-founded Community Interest Company, supporting children in this city is central to everything we do.
About Dundee
Our city-centre studio is purpose-equipped for children and easy to reach from across Dundee. Families travel to us from Stobswell, Broughty Ferry, West End, Menzieshill, Lochee, Hilltown, Maryfield, and surrounding areas. The studio is a short walk from Dundee Railway Station and well-served by multiple bus routes through the city centre. We're proudly part of the local entrepreneurial community: CogniMusica is supported by the University of Dundee Centre for Entrepreneurship and LaunchIt Dundee, and was named a Scottish EDGE Young 2025 Winner and Venture 2024 Winner. Our founder, Justyna Skop-Wach, is a PhD researcher at the University of Dundee, where her research informs the cognitive-science approach behind every lesson.

How Sessions Work in Dundee
Lessons in Dundee can take place in three ways. Most students come to our Kandahar House studio for their weekly session - a calm, welcoming space designed around children. Where the studio isn't convenient, we can come to your home anywhere in Dundee with prior arrangement (a small uplift applies for home visits). And for families with busy schedules, online lessons over video work equally well. Sessions are 40 minutes (£35 in-studio or online, £40 at home) for children aged four and above, or 60 minutes (£40 in-studio or online, £45 at home) for ages eight and above, once or twice weekly. All tutors are PVG checked through Disclosure Scotland and follow the ABRSM curriculum.

Tuition aligned with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, from Initial through Grade 8.
